Rev: Welcome, please be
seated. We have come together to witness, (Groom) and (Bride) as
they exchange their vows of marriage. We celebrate the love that
they have discovered in each other and support their decision to
commit themselves to one other for the rest of their lives.
As (Groom) and (Bride) enter into marriage, they do so with thought
and reverence. They give thanks for the past, which has brought them
to this place, and look forward with hope to what the future will
bring.
Marriage symbolizes the ultimate bond between a man and a woman.
This closeness should not diminish, but strengthen the individuality
of each partner. A marriage that lasts is one that always has a
little more to grow.
Today, (Groom) and (Bride), your celebration of human affection is
an outward sign of a sacred and inward commitment. As you stand here
in our presence, I remind you that a successful marriage is based on
respect, honesty, loyalty and love.
Be kind to each other. When you disagree, do so with respect. The
love that you have found together is a fragile gift. Always hold in
your heart the feelings that you have at this moment. When there are
difficult times, when you may doubt the validity of your love, look
to each other for strength and bring yourselves back to this moment.
Keep your hearts open to each other and remember why you have made
the decision to become husband and wife.
Rev to Groom: (Groom), do you come here today, in the presence of
these witnesses, with love in your heart and a conscious desire, to
be united in marriage with (Bride)? Do you promise to share the
responsibility for the growth and enrichment of your life together
and to give to (Bride) all the loving support she needs to become
the person she is destined to be?
Groom: I do.
Rev to Bride: (Bride), do you come here today, in the presence of
these witnesses, with love in your heart and a conscious desire, to
be united in marriage with (Groom)? Do you promise to share the

and to give to (Groom) all the loving support he needs to become the
person he is destined to be?
Bride: I do.
Rev: May I please have the rings? The circle has frequently been
used to symbolize eternity. Without flaw, it endlessly flows from
any point where it begins. The ring, like a circle is a reminder of
the perfection and endurance of (Groom) and (Bride)’s commitment and
love for each other.
Rev to Groom: (Groom) please place this ring on Bride’s finger and
repeat after me: (Bride), this ring I give you, is a symbol of my
love for you. I pledge to share with you, my heart, my home and all
that I have.
Rev to Bride: (Bride) please place this ring on Groom’s finger and
repeat after me: (Groom), this ring I give you, is a symbol of my
love for you. I pledge to share with you, my heart, my home and all
that I have.
Rev: May your wedding rings be a visible sign of the promises that
you have made to each other. May your lives be blessed with wisdom,
good health, abundant miracles and prosperity. May you always
cherish the love that you have found in each other. Protect your
love; hold it safe in your hearts always.
(Groom) and (Bride) by stating your vows, you have publicly declared
your commitment to each other. By the power invested in me by the
State of New Jersey, I hereby declare you husband and wife.
You may kiss your bride.
It is my pleasure to introduce to you Mr. and Mrs.
